Bear River Festivals
As with many small towns, festivals and entertainment are an important part of country life. Bear River celebrates several festivals.

Oakdene School Reunion Sunday, July 26, 2009 Bear River Oakdene School
1 - 4 pm.

There will be music and refreshments. Come all alumni and join in.

 

Bear River Cherry Carnival 2009 Sat.July 25th and Sun.July 26th. Starting 9:30 a.m.
Cherry Carnival is a popular event which has been celebrated for over 100 years. First held in 1893, local residents celebrated the harvesting of the cherry crop.

Exhibition Grounds, Bear River
is one of Nova Scotia's smaller events, but visitors can enjoy the small town hospitality as well as the ox pulls and great local entertainment. This event takes place in late August.
